ISK Guide Update, Upcoming Guides, and HTTPS

I try to make almost all my new articles pure content that you will enjoy but occasionally, I just need to relay some news about what's happening behind the scenes.

Earlier this month I moved this website from Unencrypted HTTP to Secure SSL HTTPS Encrypted. This change is great for increased security but it also broke many different parts of the website.

As you may have noticed, since about 10/14 I've been battling the issues but I'm pretty sure they are fixed now.

Problems Fixed:

  • Broken RSS Feed which caused Email Problems. (more on that next)
  • YouTube Videos not showing up in articles.
  • A few small back end issues that didn't affect anyone but admin (me)

The biggest one you likely noticed is my RSS Feed being broken and me then fixing it a few days ago. When I fixed the RSS Feed my Email Service suddenly saw three new articles and promptly sent them all out at once. This means you may have received 3 or more new articles emailed to you in a just a few minutes.

This was probably a little annoying and I sincerely apologize. If that problem happens again I will know to turn that off before fixing the RSS Feed.

Next up is my new ISK Guide Update. As you might know I have a project where I am taking an alt with 10 million ISK and seeing just how high I can go with him. I have recently put some more work into this project and can happily tell you he now has over 1 Billion ISK and has never ran a Mission, Mined, or Manufactured anything. Only about 15 minutes a day (or in my case, every other day).

When I work with this character I tend to do about 20% ROI a week depending on how many days I log in. Which means I should hit 1.2 billion by next week and 2 billion by next month (I'll let you know if I do).

If you are currently a member of The ISK PRO Guide, you can get the free update now by clicking here (log in first). If you don't have the ISK PRO Guide yet, you can get it by clicking HERE.

Some of you have asked about what I'm currently working on. I was planning on doing a Dual Armor Rep Myrmidon Guide however the new HIC changes (Scramming Focused Point) made my results too inconsistent to recommend it to anyone else. EVE's PVP Ecosystem just doesn't allow for it at this time.

My frustration with HICs and Remote Sensor Boosted InstaLock HICs, pushed me toward one of two options. Either a 100mn Cruiser, or a Dual Prop Cruiser. I choose Dual Prop for flexibility.

As you've seen in recent videos, that Cruiser is the Dual Armor Rep, Dual Prop Cynabal. The combination of small, fast, and flexible has been outstanding and definitely good enough to make a guide about.

Right now I'm entering my Post Production phase where I take the 10+ hours of footage and cut it all down to about 2-4 hours of the best fights, then make the Fitting and Tactics Videos.

My hope is to have it done in a week, but that's wildly optimistic, so more likely two to four weeks before I'm happy with it and ready for you to see it.

Upcoming Articles and YouTube Videos:

  • A new "First Kill in..."  Video
  • Amarr Alpha Clone PVP Fittings
  • Hauling for ISK part 2 (more applicable to new players and alpha clones)
  • A trick I use a lot when fighting on gates to improve my chances of survival.
  • and a few other ideas that I'm fleshing out.

In closing, I am incredibly excited about the upcoming expansion because I think it will bring new players, more PVP, and better game play to EVE Online. My prediction is that the next 6 months of EVE will be some of the best month's in the games history.
