Amarr Alpha Clone PVP Fittings

In today's Amarr Alpha Clone PVP Fittings video we will be looking at some example PVP Fittings. We will be looking at fittings for the Executions, Punisher, Tormentor, Imperial Navy Slicer, Maller, and Dragoon.

All of these Amarr Alpha Clone PVP Fittings are piloted by a Max Skilled Amarr Alpha Clone. If you would like to download the Character File so you can play around with it your self you can do so from this link.

This is the last race of PVP Fittings I have done of the four in game Races. From what I've seen Caldari and Minmatar are very similar, while Amarr and Gallente are similar in some ways also.

Caldari and Minmatar seem to favor Shields and Missiles while being very bad with Drones.

Amarr and Gallente favor Armor and Turrets and Drones, while being bad at shields and missiles.

This means that Caldari and Minmatar are better for mission running. But it's hard to call a clear winner for PVP.

This video went a bit long due to a few on fly refittings and even a newly created Dragoon fitting during the video. If you want to learn more about how fitting ships works that in it's self is a good lesson.

As always I talk more about tactics and best practices in the video than I do in the Article, so I recommend you watch it all if you want to maximize your learning.

Tormentor:

This is a Scram Kite so set your "Keep At Range" to about 6,500m and overload your Afterburner early in the fight to get to your range and establish early control.

Punisher:

I primarily see this ship as a Bait Ship for small gangs/fleets. The amount of Armor EHP (Effective Hit Points) is very impressive, meaning that you can withstand just about any frigate in the game for at least 30 seconds. That should be long enough for help to arrive.

Executioner:

The Executioner is a small and fast frigate, meaning it does best against targets that use Turrets only and no drones. It's small size and speed make it very hard for turrets to hit consistently. Missiles and Drones however will still be a problem and are best avoided.

Dragoon:

The Dragoon is a tough to fit ship, because it's hard to know exactly where it's niche is. As you saw in the video I decided on the spot that it's best as a Scram Kite, but it achieves that by neut superiority not speed. You might ask, why scram kite if you're neuting the target anyway? and the answer to that is because of Minmatar Ships with Autocannons. Orbit at about 7km and overload your neuts for the first few cycles.

Maller:

The Maller is similar to the Punisher in that it's best as a bait ship, however if you were to fit small guns to it, it would become a great frigate killer.

Imperial Navy Slicer:

I don't expect many Alpha Clones to fly this ship due to the cost (around 20 million fully fit) however it is a ship that with a lot of skill and practice can be very successful. It's a long kite so you want to orbit at 17km or so and manage your capacitor. Look for opportunities to turn off the MWD for a cycle or two. In many fights your enemy will stop trying to catch you after the first 20 seconds or so of the fight, which will allow you to finish the fight with no MWD.

Also keep in mind you have no real tank or repair ability. Your job is to avoid all damage.
