Crius Patch Notes and SFI PRO Guide Update

We are just two days away from the Crius Expansion and sadly I am not at all excited about it. I've been following the Dev Blogs and discussions about the changes and unless you are heavy into Industry (building stuff), they aren't likely to excite you either.

Here are the Patch Notes: http://community.eveonline.com/news/patch-notes/patch-notes-for-crius/

I admit as a PVPer who makes his ISK in the easiest and most passive possible ways, Industry isn't appealing to me.

Hopefully the Industry folks will enjoy this patch. The chatter appears to be a little apprehensive about the effects this will have on Profits and Prices, but still most are excited to try it out.

Some interesting things I pulled out of the notes are that Capital Jump Drive and Jump Bridge fuel requirements are going by 50% while Isotope (fuel) size is going down to 0.1 m3. Unless I missed something, that would make jumping and bridging about 50% more expensive than before? Perhaps that's an attempt to curtail force projection?

While it may make Titan Bridging a 50 man fleet to kill an Enyo less attractive in cost terms, I think boredom will out weigh peoples financial concerns.

Another interesting part of this patch is Teams for Manufacturing and Research. These teams will give you some advantages and you will have to bid on them.

Here is a video about the changes...

I'm interested to hear what you think about Crius?

Also, I spent the day today making two new update videos for the SFI Pro Guide. One about the ScyFi (Scythe Fleet Issue) and another with the SFI (Stabber Fleet Issue). All current SFI PRO Guide customers get free updates and can log in to their accounts and view the videos whenever they choose.

  • I am an industrialist. Crius is a nasty thorn. This business of "Incursion for Industry" is ridiculous. It is arbitrary complication of the process just to shine attention on industry.

What is needed is quota contracting rather than fixed amounts. That one thing would launch industry light years ahead.

  • Ahhh CCP too little too late. Only change I see that I really don't like, is my having to put very expensive BPO into the pos to research or invent stuff. Like asking to be war decced or just hit to get the bpo or kill it just for the gank of it. The other thing I didn't like, was allowing anyone to set up a pos anywhere. I mean give me a break, I ground out a shite load of missions to get my standings and now every pilot and his brother can set up a station without the standings. Time will have to tell on this one.

    • Didn't see that BPOs would have to be inside the POS... That could make high sec POS hunting a profitable occupation. I wonder if it drops the BPO when you kill it?

      • Its likely chance based like when u op a ship. Anyway, for isk guide you might comsider one thing that i have done with some success in the past, it wont make u billions but for the new guys it can be easy isk. So with crius when you show info on a mosule ship or whatever there is a new tab that says industry. In that tab it will show you very quickly what that item will turn into when reprocessing. Well in my experience ppl that manufacture stuff will often times through underbidding competition set the price so low that you can make a profit simply by buying the item reprocessing it and selling the materials for more than the item was posted. The new tab makes this infinTely more easy to do by listing the exact items you will get by reprocessing. So all u need is to know what the reprocessed items are worth add it up compare the prices and if its profitable buy it up and reprocess the stuff.if there are enough items sellin for that price you can make a very quick turnaround. Not the highest margin way to make isk but it is quick:) just a thought.
