As many of you have probably noticed the Screen Resolution on my videos has changed a few times. This video is from the "Square" days when my main monitor was Square (I have since upgraded and all new videos I'm making are 1080p).
I created this video while updating my Frigate PVP PRO Guide about 6 or so months ago, then I completely forgot to upload it for some reason. A few days ago I found it on my hard drive and decided I should post it.
The Video is of me in a Republic Fleet Firetail, which is one of my favorite frigates. The reason for that is because they are currently dirt cheap for how capable they are AND most importantly people tend to underestimate them. Unlike the Dramiel, people will actually fight a Firetail instead of running to get Dramiel Killing ships.

When I created this fitting, I was basically trying to create a "Cheap Dramiel" and in all respects it is just that. The biggest differences are slightly less speed, agility, and DPS output. The fitting is pretty tight so depending on your skills you may have to adjust certain modules to make it work.
The primary targets are Interceptors and Tech 1 frigates. Beyond that you can safely engage almost everything except for some Destroyers, some Recons, and a few other ships.
In the full video that I posted to the Frigate PVP PRO Guide I show how it can engage larger targets when I use it to take down a Drake.

I was wondering, couldn't a web give you a better range control?

Depends on what you are fighting, but in most cases no it wouldn't.
For example:
If you fought another Firetail with a Web, Scram and MWD... You would both be scrammed, but since you have the AB you can still move faster even when webbed.
Against a Firetail with a Web, Scram, and AB... You would be slower.
The assumption is that your opponent won't have a Afterburner and a web, because otherwise you are faster in almost all cases (except when dual webbed or bonus webbed).

I was wondering how the dual prop thing works. I was under the impression that only one propulsion module would work at a time. Indeed this Firetail video shows you switching between the two.

dual prop gives you control over range vs MWD+Scram fit ship. You will be able to burn out of scram range and switch to MWD to escape if needed. Or you can choose to kite them since you can dictate the range(he did that in one of the Taranis Vid I remembered)
You also have other obvious advantages of both prop mods, like no sig radius penalty for AB and insane speed for MWD.
I would love to see an analysis between dual prop vs MWD+Scram/Disruptor+Web though

This is a preview I forgot to post back when I made the first Firetail video that is posted in the Frigate PRO PVP Guide's members area. The only difference is that this one is public and only a preview, while the other is members only and contain about 4 times more content.

Firetail is an awesome ship.
I use the fit provided in this article to fly in a mid-size gang. So far I have participated in 78 kills using this ship and lost so far only 1 frigate/ And this feeling when your ship manages to escape 2 Prophecy BC's being primaried and scrammed by them - it is just priceless )
